Working at Pratt ...

Last fall (2010) I made the decision that I wanted to find out if I could actually work with glass. The best way seemed to be find some instruction, and everyone I talked to could say nothing but good things about the Pratt Fine Arts Center. After having taken several classes (Image Transfer to Glass, Beginning Fusing, Lampwork Beads, Glass Shards & Glass Sculpture) I can tell you that Pratt is a wonderful place to make art!

The following photos of me were made by my photo assistant while I was working in the Pratt Art Center flameworking studio.

... and finally placing the finished bead in a kiln to be annealed for strength.
